Well folks it’s here, it’s time to register for summer camp at Hume Lake! That’s right, we are headed back into the mountains from Sunday, July 23rd – Saturday, July 29th with 300 students and leaders for what promises to be an epic week at summer camp.

Our cost for Hume this year is going to be $980 per camper with a $180 deposit due at time of registration. After the $180 deposit, the remaining balance can be paid in full or through a payment plan. We know this represents around a 20% increase from our cost last year, and recognize this is a pretty jarring increase. Unfortunately, this is in light of both Hume Lake and our transportation company increasing their prices by significant amounts, which is, realistically, a reflection of our current economic times. However, to try and put things in perspective a little bit here is a rough breakdown of what this $980 looks like.

$800 for Hume, which is 6 days and nights of full meals, activities, supervision, and sleeping accommodations or roughly $135 per day.

$180 for transportation there and back in a good quality charter bus, which is $90 each way.

All of that being said, we want to reiterate to you that our goal with summer camp is not to turn a profit. Our cost for you is calculated to cover our cost. Additionally, moving forward we will be looking at ways (specifically related to transportation) to remove some cost while not compromising safety or quality.
